We are looking for the Australia Accounts Executive

 

  • Recording financial transactions: The bookkeeper is responsible for recording all financial transactions in the company’s accounting system, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconciling accounts: The bookkeeper is responsible for reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable: The bookkeeper is responsible for managing the company’s accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing customers, collecting payments, and paying vendors.
  • Preparing financial reports: The bookkeeper is responsible for preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitoring budget and cash flow: The bookkeeper is responsible for monitoring the company’s budget and cash flow, ensuring that expenses are within budget and that there is enough cash on hand to cover expenses.

Essential

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting is preferred. B. Com, M. Com, CA Inter with good English communication are welcome.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Good accounting knowledge is also a requirement for this position.

Work Timings

  • 7:00 AM to 16:30 PM IST

Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Year-End Accountant (UK GAAP) to join our team in Ahmedabad. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the preparation of statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and handling year-end accounts. This position involves collaborating with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services to our clients. The role requires in-depth knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations, particularly CT600 and PTR, along with strong client service and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Year-End Accounting: Lead the year-end accounting process for clients under UK GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Statutory Financial Statements: Prepare full statutory accounts for clients, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and notes to the accounts, in accordance with UK GAAP.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare corporate tax returns (CT600), including deferred tax calculations, ensuring compliance with UK tax laws and regulations.
  • Client Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of clients and ensure that services are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the key point of contact for all year-end and statutory accounting matters.
  • Client Liaison: Provide support and communication to internal and external stakeholders, answering queries, providing financial insights, and advising on best practices for year-end accounting and tax matters.
  • Internal Team Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting team to ensure seamless execution of the year-end close process and assist in any ad-hoc accounting tasks as needed.
  • Problem Solving & Analysis: Use strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies, provide solutions, and resolve any accounting or tax issues that arise during the year-end process.
  • Adherence to Deadlines: Ensure that all statutory accounts and tax filings are completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Additional Duties: Take on additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Professional Qualification: ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience working as a Year-End Accountant in a UK GAAP-based environment.
  • Statutory Accounts: Strong experience in preparing full statutory accounts, including corporate tax returns (CT600) and deferred tax calculations.
  • Knowledge of UK Tax & Accounting Standards: In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP and UK tax regulations, including experience with CT600 (corporate tax return) and PTR (tax reporting).
  • Client Service: Excellent client service skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and clear communication.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to resolve accounting issues efficiently.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and meet strict deadlines while ensuring high-quality work is delivered.

Working Conditions

  • Location: Full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, India.

Roles and Responsibility

We are looking for the UK Accounts Executive/ Senior Accounts Executive

  • Manage accounting functions like Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, and other accounting activity.
  • Posting of bank transactions
  • Liaise with suppliers where required
  • Supplier Statement reconciliations
  • Allocation of receipts and payments against the invoices
  • General entry-level month-end adjustments like accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, and other monthly adjustments.
  • Preparing various analyses as required.
  • Preparing monthly process-driven reports/MIS Reports.
  • To produce Debtors’ and creditors’ ageing reports and review
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly Management account packs.
  • End to End monthly accounts
  • Undertaking additional duties assigned by management.

Essential

  • 1-3 years of experience in UK Accounting is preferred. CA, ACCA, CA Inter with good English communication are welcome.

Work Timings

  • 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM IST from April to October. However, from November to March timings will be 1:30 PM to 11:00 PM IST
